My Happy Birthday!

Here is a wedding from awhile back on my birthday! Yes, it was great! I got to do something that I love, the people were celebrating and there was good atmosphere, good food, good cake! Congrats M&A! What a beautiful day!

(p.s. Take note of the beautiful cake made by the bride's sister. Quite the accomplishment!)

Happy Birthday!

My secretary at school was wracking her brain for an idea for her daughter's 15th birthday party. I had an "ah-ha" moment and suggested a photo shoot. What fun we had in the creepy graffiti under the bridge. What beautiful girls--it made my job easy! Here is a sneak peek! Happy Birthday A!

(Kudos to the girls for their Cheerleading skills hoisting each other up here!)

Wedding: Hunting Lodge from Minnesota? {Abbotsford Wedding Photographer}

This lovely couple was married on the August long weekend on a warm overcast summer day. They found this lovely hunting lodge in Maple Ridge that was owned by a resident from Minnesota (my family roots!). We loved how they were always laughing, joking and showing their love for each other. Here is a sneak peek of their day. (Sorry it has taken so long!)

Engagement: Fun on the Playground {Abbotsford Wedding Photographer}

I met this lovely couple in Gardner Park for some fall shots just a few weeks before the big day. We had so much fun laughing together--got some great natural smiles! See you in a few weeks!

New (Really New)! {Abbotsford Newborn Photographer}

This handsome boy came via c-section last Friday. I was privileged to photograph him at the hospital just as he was getting out of NICU to finally be with his parents in their room. He was swaddled so cozy, he loved being asleep. Finally after mom and dad changed him, he woke up for some beautiful shots. Congrats!

I love these two! So much awe and love!

Babies love to cry!
I also love how he is holding onto mom's finger.

Up and Coming... {Abbotsford Fashion Photographer}

Fashion Designer (and should be model!). Miss C designed and made these clothes. She worked countless hours to sew the jacket, "shirt" dress and gown. I told her a couple months ago that we should go out for a shoot with her clothes and we finally got the chance. What a fun celebration for her creations! Congrats on getting into Fashion Design School! Looking forward to shooting more of your creations in the future.

Engagement: An Adventure Walk in the Park {Abbotsford Wedding Photographer}

We took a little adventure walk at Campbell Valley Park this past week. This couple is getting married in a few weeks on MY birthday (at least I get yummy cake;). They climbed fallen tree logs, walked through fallen reeds in a swamp, bush-wacked through some trees, and jumped off picnic tables to get some great shots. See you in a few weeks!

Stylin' in Seattle

Where to begin? We have been doing a lot of thinking about our business lately and where we would like to go with it in the future. I jumped at the opportunity of Shannon Sewell's "sale" for a one-on-one consultation. I have been following her blog for a few years now and wondering what she does to make her pictures so amazing--always styled, always crisp and clear, always capturing the best of her clients. So we, as a family, trekked to Seattle (visited with my cousins too) where her and I chatted the morning away. Then she styled this shoot with a very photogenic model from Vancouver, WA and we ventured in and around Pike's Place Market. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun! I tried to get a different perspective and I think I accomplished my goal. See her shots here. Thank-you Shannon for a great day!

This is my fav shot of the day! Love the light!

This wall just happened to be upstairs in the coffee shop we were in.

Little "E"

Wouldn't this look so good in a square frame?

Nub:
No Nub:

Here is the beautiful baby girl that we photographed in her mom's belly a few weeks ago. We wanted to take pictures with their dog, but he was so excited that he was stepping on the baby. There were a few firsts today--she took a soother and wouldn't let it go (hence alot of the photos) and her belly button nub fell out! p.s. I got the bowl at IKEA of all places. I had been looking and looking for one in the states, but low and behold right in my own backyard!

Baby Boy Belly

This gorgeous couple came to me this week for some belly shots. The dad is the son to one of my colleagues from work. It is so fun showing how beautiful pregnancy can really be (strech marks and all:). Congratulations and can't wait to meet him!
